The variety of plants in our area, from huge ancient trees down to the tiniest wildflower give us joy and a sense of the seasons. Each has its time of sprouting, living, blooming and dying, although the impressive giants among them may live for many human lifetimes. They also give us many useful products, including food, medicine, building materials and warmth. Of course as a photographer, I am mostly interested in celebrating their natural beauty.
